The global hospitality group and Jaipur-based developer have announced two flagship luxury properties in Rajasthan, expanding Accor’s ultra-luxury footprint with a 300-key palace-style hotel in Jaipur and a high-end wildlife retreat in Ranthambore.

On the sidelines of HICSA 2025, the 20th edition of the Hotel Investment Conference, Accor and Jaipur-based Vikram Sukhani, Chairman and Managing Director of Sukhani Ventures announced the launch of two landmark properties under Accor’s most storied luxury brands. Jaipur, increasingly a magnet for global hospitality giants, is set to welcome Sofitel Legend Jaipur, a distinguished collection of luxury hotels celebrated for blending historical gravitas with contemporary elegance. Typically housed in meticulously restored heritage buildings, Sofitel Legend properties offer personalised service, world-class dining, and wellness experiences—all infused with French Art de Vivre.

The upcoming 300-room hotel in Jaipur, spread over 600,000 sq.ft and described as a "wedding hotel" on Sukhani Ventures’ website, promises to redefine grand celebrations in the city. With over eight banqueting spaces and more than six diverse F&B outlets, it is poised to become a destination in itself for opulent events and culinary experiences.

Meanwhile, Ranthambore, India’s premier tiger reserve and one of its most visited wildlife destinations, will soon be home to Raffles Ranthambore—envisioned as an ultra-luxury wildlife retreat. The resort will feature 63 lavish accommodations, including private villas and tents, along with a world-class spa and five F&B outlets. Joining an already elite roster that includes Oberoi Vanyavilas and Aman-i-Khas, Raffles will bring its signature glamour and refinement to this thriving safari destination, which attracts over 700,000 visitors annually, including a significant share of inbound tourists.

This will be the third Raffles in India, and the second in Rajasthan—a state that, along with Delhi and Agra, forms the core of India’s inbound tourism circuit. Known for weaving the essence of its surroundings into each property, Raffles is expected to deliver a highly curated, immersive experience in Ranthambore, where wildlife tourism is already a well-honed craft.

These developments are aligned with Accor’s broader expansion strategy in India, which includes the addition of 30 new properties over the next three to five years.

Vikram Sukhani’s Sukhani Ventures, the Jaipur-based hospitality group behind these launches, specialises in developing and owning hotel assets across Rajasthan. Their portfolio reflects a deep commitment to blending traditional Indian architecture with modern amenities and experiential luxury. In addition to the upcoming Sofitel Legend Jaipur, their holdings include Sofitel Jaipur, known for its Rajputana-inspired design; The Leela Palace Jaipur, a byword for royal opulence; Harlalka Haveli Mandawa, a restored heritage property showcasing Rajasthani architecture; and Sarovar Portico, which offers contemporary comforts in a culturally rich context. The group also operates notable restaurants like Once Upon a Time in Nahargarh, a fine-dining venue within the historic Nahargarh Fort, and Once Upon a Time at The Bagh, a heritage dining experience set against the scenic Aravalli Hills.
